About Miriam LouiseMiriam Louise is a CBT therapist and former NHS mental health nurse with over 30 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals through anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, agoraphobia, drug and alcohol issues, overeating, binge eating, and many complex emotional and behavioural challenges.She is an accredited member of the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists), and her professional status can be verified on the ACCPH website.Early in her career, Miriam became aware of how deeply anxiety, phobias and OCD affect people’s lives. She spent many years working solely with anxiety disorders, OCD and agoraphobia, and these remain her specialist areas today.Miriam now focuses on anxiety, depression, OCD, drug and alcohol issues, and unwanted habits. She also uses evidence‑based CBT to support people experiencing distressing or recurring nightmares, low mood, overthinking, life changes, personal challenges, goal setting and personal development.Her work is grounded in practical, supportive CBT designed to help people move forward in a way that feels right for them.Additional Experience
Alongside her professional training, Miriam has over 28 years of lived experience parenting and supporting individuals with severe ASD, learning disabilities, elective mutism, Tourette’s syndrome and epilepsy. This has included extensive personal research into each condition, as well as completing Autism in the 21st Century with the Open University. This depth of experience gives her a strong, practical understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families.

It helps individuals identify goals, overcome obstacles and move forward with clarity. Coaching is future‑focused and practical, offering guidance with life transitions, confidence building, decision‑making, habits, motivation and personal development.Miriam’s coaching approach is gentle, structured and encouraging, helping clients gain direction and make meaningful progress in their lives.
